This is the third or fourth time now that the loudspeaker, speak aloud, volume adjustment, vibrate mode etc has overridden, changed settings, and started speaking dictation aloud. Philadelphia Alley has been the only place that has ever shown this anomaly if my memories serve me right. (Perhaps St Philip’s one time, but I’d have to double check my field notes from 9/28 and 9/29 sessions)

Further analysis: I’m also noticing a misalignment in time and word synchronization as far as what the screenshot indicates, the live time ordering of words, and the transcription being slightly off from what the screenshot would indicate.

• Analysis: Looking at “Transatlantic Slave Trade” being stuck on the screen (per screenshot) and 

  • seeing “Horrified 1836” in the live transcription history log underneath 

    • Made me think of the 1835 largest human trafficking event of American history that happened at own very own Exchange building site followed by the 1835 mail crisis - Perhaps, I should dig further into 1836 human trafficking and civil rights events

With that in mind, the Brittney’s continued to investigate the space, seeing another EMF spike on the sidewalk out front of the building in the area closest to the oyster shell bedding around a tree.]

• I merited this worthy of further research immediately since I could not find causation for electric interference and did not know of any specific event that took place at these coordinates. I planned to later look for emotionally intense, traumatic, repetitive, or death-related histories in my follow-up.

• In my analysis that evening, I felt drawn specifically to “185” on the restaurant sign. I hadn’t intended to necessarily contain the sign in the photo I took of the EMF spike. 185 stuck out to me like a sore thumb during analysis. I think that’s where my research will begin: 185 East Bay Street / Bay Street or the Parcel Number that used to be this location’s identity. This indeed would be a full history sweep. The deepest of rabbit holes. I’m looking forward to initiating the research.

Immediately after snapping this photo, I switched back over to the spirit communication window. I found it frozen on a word that made me giggle: “rectory.”  I said the word aloud experimentally. My friends weren’t particularly as amused as I was. Below is the screenshot. 8:47PM The guys join in. Speculation turns to curiosity when they find their EMF readers responsive as well.

We walk towards the Wegener building after, stopping at the crosswalk where Vendue Range becomes Queen Street as they both meet East Bay Street.  

8:50 PM The Brazilian steak house had been playing music through speakers outside, and it began to crack and give way to clear electronic interference - radio wave interference - just as I began discussing the unexplainable incident reports that were compiled at the Wegener building. Interesting. 

• Analysis - Also particularly notable due to one of the origin stories claiming the haunts do portray a terrified officer running into the nearest building that was opening up for breakfast in order to have a “thunder buddy,” if you will, for what he just got an “eyefull” of. This story is rooted in folklore and legend and seems to not be whatsoever supported by history - but does that make the residual energy impossible? Maybe - maybe not. There’s always the discussion of egregores to extra complicate matters.

  • Vannah - 8/1 Evening recollection, clarification - I was looking at the screen when the words displayed “1940” then “Henry.” I remarked how it was interesting that there is a ghost in town named Henry who died in exactly 1940. As I was saying this, the word “house” then showed, which continued to match the history of Henry. As an analytical thought, it’s worth mentioning that I saw the words “1940 Henry house” in that order, and I assumed they would read as one string of dialogue. However, the transcription documented a different order and paired them in a different way than I would have expected.

I casually mentioned “It’s interesting that you felt compelled to sit there and are seeing spikes. Just the other day (7/29/26), I kept seeing in my peripheral a man sitting there on the bench,” and the guests from that past evening investigated by having a seat and feeling it out. This guest was taking part in something more than clairsentience, and it was clear she was very engaged in some sort of interaction.
